This impressive double-fronted property in prime London location, was in need of restoring from faded grandeur to its' former glory. As the house is listed, there was a large element of reparation and restoring, before we could even think about bringing in new aspects to the interiors. Old fireplaces needed to be reinstated and the parquet flooring brought back to life. KR Interior Design were asked to re-design every inch of this house to be the perfect 'home away from home' for the family who bought this property as their London address. The family's style is luxurious, classic and glamorous- which is reflected in the high gloss Macassar wood joinery, parquet flooring and luxurious silk fabrics gracing everything from deep buttoned headboards to scatter cushions.
The brief for this project was to create a family home that was functional and personal to them, to make them feel comfortable during their frequent trips to the UK. The children's bedrooms were designed in subtle blues for the boys, future-proofing them by maintaining an overall grown-up feel. The little girls' room being the only space that feels distinctly child-like, but beautiful with Bambizi wall stickers and a whimsical day-bed.
